Becca offers transformative private guidance sessions for people who are in emotional pain, who feel stuck and in a rut, who wish to develop a mindfulness meditation practice or who are simply looking for a fresh perspective to live a more connected, joyful and meaningful life.
In addition to decades of experience as a holistic psychotherapist and as a forever student and teacher of mindfulness, meditation and compassion. Becca has spent a lifetime studying emotional pain and from this she has developed an approach which involves unburdening our hearts by turning toward what hurts rather than away from it, as a radical act of self-honesty, love and ultimately freedom from unnecessary suffering. She believes that discovered within the marrow of the emotional wound itself is found the medicine and wisdom needed for personal healing, integration and transformation. Her clients experience an unburdening of heart, mind, body and soul through their work with Becca.
Becca draws from decades of clinical therapeutic practice and skills, including certified teacher trainings from esteemed evidence-based institutions in mindfulness, compassion and self-compassion, coupled with an innate wisdom of the nuances of human suffering, intuition, insight, along with the deep knowing that what we are longing for is already within us; it’s just been covered by the veil of suffering. By dropping the old paradigm that something is wrong with us or that something needs to be fixed within us, we can step into the journey of self-compassion and in the process are able to uncover the wisdom born from our ability to be with what hurts. Joy and suffering are two sides of the same coin so in order to live a more peaceful and joyful life we must get to know how to respond to the very natural experience of suffering so rather than being consumed by our distress or avoidant of it, we become adept at accepting that pain is a part of life and how we respond to it determines how our inner life unfolds. Becca has a unique ability to sit as a clear mirror for her clients which creates an environment for healing to occur Her ability to sit in compassionate and loving awareness to the emotional pain of being human both illuminates a pathway to liberation and joy while also building psychological flexibility, adaptability and tolerance which translates from the session into daily life.
